We Are With You are a charity that offers free, confidential support to people in Scotland who have issues with drugs, alcohol or mental health.
The way in which we communicate, seek information and access support has transformed in recent years with the advancement of digital technology. We all now expect expert advice at our fingertips, where and when we need it.
WithYou is able to provide a free, confidential Webchat service – allowing people to access advice and support relating to alcohol, drugs and mental health.
Since it launched in 2017, more than 84,300 people have contacted the service. All ‘chats’ are handled by real people; trained and experienced staff from across our charity. More than two thirds (67%) of Webchat users have not previously asked for help with their drug, alcohol or mental health issues.
This service is making support available to people who might otherwise avoid making important changes to the way they live their lives.
As well as supporting individuals who are looking for advice for themselves, We Are With You help people who are worried about their loved ones. Around 20% of those contacting our Webchat are family members or ‘concerned others’.
Below you can see a copy of their latest report, Accessing Support in the Digital Age, which highlights the impact that their Webchat service is having and the benefits it brings to people right across Scotland.
The With You Webchat is available from 9am-9pm on weekdays and 10am-4pm on weekends. It is open 364 days a year, closing only on Christmas Day.
