In Scotland between 2015 and 2019 there was a loss of over 1000 acute available beds in our hospitals. Waiting lists in our NHS are now at record levels with 1 in 8 Scots on NHS waiting lists. I am pushing the government to bring forward clear proposals to tackle this – see below
We need to address the immediate crisis in social care by fixing the two-tier workforce that is currently in place with different pay/terms and conditions depending on public or private employers – that should be the immediate focus of the Scottish Government – see my question to the FM here
