I have received the below notification from ExxonMobil Chemical Limited and Shell UK Limited about a Joint Planned Emergency Exercise at Mossmorran.
ExxonMobil Chemical Limited– Fife Ethylene Plant and Shell UK Limited – Fife Natural Gas Liquids Plant: Notification of Joint Planned Emergency Exercise at Mossmorran
ExxonMobil Chemical Limited and Shell UK Limited would like to advise the local community that there is going to be a planned ‘live play’ emergency exercise tomorrow, Tuesday 13th November from 10.00 am to 13.00 hrs.
This exercise is planned to allow us to test what to do in the event of any emergency and is an important part of being prepared. It is therefore important that we periodically, and jointly, test our preparedness.
It is anticipated that this exercise will last approx. 3 hours.
What might be visible to the Community:
Operations allowing, there will be fire tenders from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attending along with Police Scotland vehicles. These may be visible to the local community along the North Access Road to the site or at the main entrance to the site prior to the exercise commencing.
