Last week I circulated a discussion paper to Labour Party members in my constituency, two weeks ago ahead of a constituency meeting taking place this Friday.
In My discussion paper I argue that Scottish Labour is the party of home rule in Scotland and post referendum needs to reaffirm this position; setting out what it stands for alongside broad policy objectives which it must work towards over the next few years.
The resignation of Johann Lamont has brought some of the issues raised in this paper into sharper focus and my view is regardless of who the leader of Scottish Labour is, there are fundamental issues that must be addressed if we are to reconnect with the communities we seek to serve.
