Call for action on fence. Alex Rowley highlights the problem of the motorway fence in Kelty.
Lochs councillor Alex Rowley is stepping up his campaign to get a motorway fence which he says is ‘dangerous’ and ‘an accident waiting to happen’ repaired.
Mr Rowley told the Times that he has been making representations over many months to have the fence that runs the length of the M90 motorway alongside Kelty renewed. He said; “I was delighted when the workers arrived a few months ago and began to rebuild the fence alongside Keltyhill Avenue but it seems to have stopped and much of the other streets still having fences that are in such a poor condition, they pose a danger for children and animals being able to freely access the motorway.
The Council leader said; “This is just not acceptable, it is like an accident waiting to happen and I am now demanding that the transport authority take the necessary steps to get this fencing fixed”.
