Fife MSP Alex Rowley has teamed up with Age Scotland at the Scottish Parliament to help promote ‘Scotland’s helpline for older people’ offering free and confidential information, friendship and advice over the phone.
Mr Rowley said:
“This free phone line 0800 12 44 222 is available 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, for older people, their carers and families; and can give advice on a range of issues from benefit entitlement, care homes, care at home to housing options, heating and legal issues such as Power of Attorney.
“I believe this is a good way of finding advice and accessing support for older people and I was delighted to meet with representatives of Age Scotland to hear about the work they do and to promote this Scotland wide service”.
