I visited Rosyth Dockyard this week to see first-hand the amazing work at this world class manufacturing and shipbuilding facility – a site Fife can be truly proud of.
With over 200 apprentices, PSO’s and a workforce of over 2500, it provides training, skills, qualifications and well-paid jobs for our communities, benefiting the local, regional and national economies.
I congratulate Babcock for the levels of investment that it has secured, ensuring a great future for the yard, and in addition, for the workforce, who spoke with passion about their roles and future career development.
Babcock’s investment stands testament to their workforce planning, their commitment to development, innovation, and the opportunities this brings for future generations working in engineering in Fife.
